VALPOI: The footpath work in Ward No. 1 of Velus village has remained incomplete for the past month, with the contractor and the Valpoi Municipal Council’s (VMC) engineer failing to address the issue.
Locals have repeatedly requested the contractor to finish the footpath properly, but their pleas have gone unheard, according to local residents.
Residents of the ward have reached out to both the contractor and the VMC regarding the unfinished footpath, but have received no response, they claim.
One resident, Shivlo Gaonkar, sharing his experience said, “I spoke to contractor Parab and his workers, but they have consistently treated me rudely and with arrogance.”
Another local, Dasharath Mauskar, expressed his concerns, stating, “I humbly request our councillor for the Ward and the Valpoi Municipality to complete the pending footpath work immediately.”
When contacted, Anil Katkar, the councillor for Ward No. 01 in Velus, assured that he would speak to the contractor and the engineer to expedite the completion of the footpath work.
