MARGAO: Stating that the River Sal is in pathetic condition, Aam Aadmi Party leader Captain Venzy Viegas assured that the river will be converted into its original form if the AAP comes to power in the upcoming elections.
Speaking to the media he also said that the issue of River Sal will be included in the manifesto of the party.

According to Venzy the River Sal cannot be cleaned by just dredging it.
“We can witness release of sewage in the river at different places. On the one hand the government is engaged in dredging the river, while on the other side we can notice the release of sewage directly into the river”, he claimed.
AAP leader said that there is urgent need to resolve the problems connected towards the releasing of sewage into the river.
Recently one of the shopping mall and two Sewage Treatment Plants located at Shirvodem were exposed for releasing sewage in the river.
