PANJIM: Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte has directed department officials to ensure that people get time-bound service and issued a stern warning against corruption, in a meeting held on Monday.
“Our priority is to ease the problems of the common man. We are streamlining the entire working system to give time bound service to the people by implementing Time Bound Delivery of Services Act from April, and weed out corruption,” he told Herald after a closed-door meeting with Collectors, Deputy Collectors, Mamlatdars and Joint Mamlatdars.
As he has prioritised to set things right, within a period of three months, Khaunte also proposed setting up a complaint box in each taluka and installing CCTV cameras in all Revenue offices to closely monitor the functioning.
Khaunte also warned that any delay in issuing certificates, particularly for employment purpose, will not be tolerated.
