PONDA: The haphazard parking of trucks by the roadside came in for heavy criticism at the Curti Khandepar Panchayat with gram sabha members demanding that the violators be penalised and booked. The locals pointed out that despite voicing concern over the nuisance, the authorities failed to crack the whip against the violators.

The locals also demanded action some scrapyards in the locality and villagers said that the Curti Khandepar Panchayat had acquired crematorium land for various communities but in absence of demarcation, locals were inconvenienced. They demanded to demarcate it through land survey department so that Hindus, Muslims, Catholics can use it properly.
