At midnight, thieves entered the house through a ground floor window and decamped with two diamond bangles, a bracelet, a ruby ring, two anchor lockets and cash of about Rs 1.85 lakh.
The bungalow’s occupants, Kirti Modak and family, were asleep on the first floor at the time.
Surprisingly, the windows don’t have protective grills and this made it easier for the thiefs to gain access to the premises.
