PONDA: Sanatan Santha has complained to the police that, ten days ago, a correspondent and a cameraman of India Today news channel trespassed into its headquarters at Ramnathi, Ponda.
In his complaint to the Ponda police, Sanatan Sanstha’s Managing Trustee Virendra Marathe has alleged that India Today’s correspondent Mayuresh Ganpatye and cameraman Mahesh More trespassed into Sanstha’s headquarters, shot a video of a lady seeker and aired the same on India Today news channel. Marathe has alleged that the video was shot without the consent of the lady seeker.
In his complaint, Marathe urges the police to register an FIR against Ganpatye and More, investigate into his complaint, arrest the duo and seize the original video footage.
According Marathe’s complaint, a notice has been put up at the entrance of Sanatan ashram prohibiting clicking photos or shooting video within the Ashram premises without prior permission.
“Despite that, India Today’s correspondents, with a malicious intent, shot a video of a lady seeker of Sanatan without her knowledge and consent,” the complaint reads as.
When contacted, with Ponda police confirmed that they have received a complaint from Marathe and that they are investigating into the allegations.
