SANGUEM: With little over a month left for the closure of mining activities in the State following the Apex court order, the truckers from Sanguem are finally permitted to ply at various mines in Rivona.
At the hearing held by the Quepem Deputy Collector Rohit Kadam, an order was issued to the transport and mine contractors in Rivona to permit the truckers from Sanguem region to ply at Rivona mines. Kadam also instructed the members of Rivona Truck Owners Association not to stop any truck from Sanguem region from being operated at Rivona mines.
The special meet which was convened to put an end to the long pending imbroglio over the blocking of trucks owned by people from Sanguem region plying at Rivona mines.
