CANACONA: It was an unusual sight to behold for the locals at Agonda Beach when two sea turtles got washed ashore strangled in a discarded nylon net in the evening, on Sunday.
The alert locals on spotting the struggling turtles brought the ghost net to the shore and after meticulously cutting the net rescued both the sea turtles to the excitement of all around.

While Steve Rodrigues, a local was angling from the shore at Agonda Beach along with his friends, they noticed a mass covered by discarded net floating up and down with the strong waves, on Sunday evening.
