PANJIM: As the need for restoration of United Kingdom (UK) e-visa remains to be an urgent need for British travellers, second charter of the season from Gatwick, UK will arrive in Goa on Sunday. Approximately 200 passengers are expected to arrive even as the touristic State will receive two flights from UK every week beginning from next week.
One flight each from Manchester and Gatwick will start landing in Goa with the eagerly awaited UK travellers. Nahush Bargi, Destination Head, Le Passage to India has said that the e-visa still remains a challenge. “Urgent restoration of e-visa is need of the hour for airlines to sustain and increase flights to Goa. Goa has been always a popular destination among British travellers,” he said.

Le Passage to India is handling operations in Goa for its parent company Tui AG.
“Though it is slow start after a long gap of two years, we are confident that there are better days ahead,” Bargi added.
Goa received its first UK charter for the current tourism season on November 6 with 226 passengers amidst uncertainty over the tweaked UK e-visa rules. Though the Goa government assured travel agents of a solution to the issue of getting e-visa faced by the potential travellers from UK, the delay in getting e-visas for India still persist.
