PONDA: With over a thousand sewage chambers dug open for laying sewage lines in Curti, Kavlem and Ponda city, they are proving to be dangerous for cars and bikes with several accidents already reported. Locals are demanding that it be asphalted due to an increasing number of accidents and injuries to bike riders.
In an accident that took place this morning Raj Salunke (26) was injured as his scooter collided with an oncoming bus. The Bus driver luckily tried to avoid the scooter but failed. Raj suffered injuries on his body and was admitted to the Ponda Sub district Hospital, his scooter was badly damaged. The sewage chambers exist at sharp turn in two accident spots at Kavlem making it dangerous for drivers.
