Shiroda all set for Shigmotsav

The Shiroda Nagrik Shigmotsav Samiti (SNSS) will conduct the Shigmotsav float parade on April 4. Addressing a press conference in Ponda, Minister for Industries and SNSS President Mahadev Naik said the SNSS in a bid to attract good participation attractive prizes will be awarded in several categories ~ floats, Chitrarath, Romtamell, folkart and fancy dress.

BORIM: The Shiroda Nagrik Shigmotsav Samiti (SNSS) will conduct the Shigmotsav float parade on April 4.

Addressing a press conference in Ponda, Minister for Industries and SNSS President Mahadev Naik said the SNSS in a bid to attract good participation attractive prizes will be awarded in several categories ~ floats, Chitrarath, Romtamell, folkart and fancy dress.

“I am pleased to announce this first-ever state-level Shigmotsav in Shiroda. We have taken cognizance of the work contributed by artistes from Shiroda constituency and have decided to felicitate such 25 personalities on April 4,” Naik informed.

 He added that the buses plying from Ponda to Sanvordem and vice-versa will make a halt at Ayurvedic College and Shivnath temple.

Special arrangements have been made to ferry commuters from these points in 10 jeeps, he mentioned.

SNSS Gen Secretary Deepak Naik Borkar, Treasurer Gurudas Prabhudesai, organising committee President Nagu Kavlekar and Secretary Chandrakant Samant were also present at the press conference.
