The annual fair of Shri Devi Lairai has commenced in Shirgaon, drawing large numbers of devotees since early morning. Alongside regular worshippers, many “Dhond” devotees have also gathered at the temple to participate in the traditional festivities.
Authorities have put in place elaborate security and administrative arrangements to manage the large crowds and ensure smooth conduct of the event.

At around 9 a.m., Pramod Sawant visited the temple and offered prayers to Goddess Lairai. Sadanand Tanavade, accompanied by his wife, also paid a visit to seek blessings and commended the arrangements made by the administration.
The jatra, one of Goa’s prominent religious events, is expected to witness a significant turnout over the coming days.
