Women members of the Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha staged a protest outside the party headquarters, criticising the Indian National Congress and other opposition parties for allegedly not supporting the Women’s Reservation Bill in the Lok Sabha.
The protest saw a large turnout of women party workers, who raised slogans and expressed their dissatisfaction over what they described as a lack of commitment by opposition leaders towards women’s empowerment.

The demonstrators emphasised that the Women’s Reservation Bill is a crucial step towards ensuring greater political representation for women and urged all parties to extend their support in the interest of gender equality.
