A 65-year-old tourist from Bhopal was killed after a speeding four-wheeler allegedly driven by female tourists rammed into his hatchback in Assagao on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Bhagat Ram Sharma, a native of Bhopal. Police said he suffered fatal injuries in the impact and was declared dead at the scene.

Preliminary reports suggest that the occupants of the speeding vehicle may have been attempting to switch seats while the car was in motion, leading to the driver losing control. Authorities are currently investigating the claim and examining the sequence of events that led to the crash.
In a miraculous escape, a baby who was inside the victim’s car at the time of the collision was left unharmed.
Officials from the Goa Police reached the spot soon after the incident and have initiated a detailed probe. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
