A tragic road accident on the Old Goa bypass claimed the life of a woman and left her son seriously injured after a van allegedly rammed into their motorcycle.
According to police, the incident occurred when the van driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the two-wheeler. The impact caused severe injuries to the motorcycle rider, while his mother, who was travelling as a pillion passenger, sustained critical injuries and later succumbed.

Personnel from the Goa Police rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital. Authorities have initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the mishap, including whether speeding or negligence was involved.
