Power Minister Ramkrishna Sudin Dhavalikar has a new logic. He has proposed 20% extra charges for those who “waste power” between 5 pm and 9am. Those who use power between 9 am to 5pm will get 20% rebate even though electricity charges are going to increase. This is for household only. He also claimed to have put a proposal to produce 100 Mega Watts of power in Goa. Smart Metres will be introduced from December 2025 to monitor usages at particular time, Dhavalikar told media.
