As part of the Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 campaign, the Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC), led by Chairperson Girish Borkar and Councillor Damu Naik, partnered with local schools to spread awareness on cleanliness and civic responsibility.
Students actively participated in the drive by staging street plays (nukkad nataks) at key locations, highlighting themes of hygiene, waste management, and maintaining clean surroundings. The lively performances attracted public attention and helped reinforce messages of environmental responsibility.
Chairperson Borkar stressed the importance of community involvement and adopting sustainable habits, while Councillor Naik praised the students and teachers for their efforts in shaping a cleaner and more responsible future.
The initiative aimed not only to promote cleanliness but also to instill long-term civic values among young participants and the wider community.
