CUNCOLIM: In a fervent appeal to the Cuncolim youth not to run only after government jobs, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Wednesday called upon them to be self-employed and tap the opportunities in the private sector to be successful.
Speaking as a chief guest at the Swami Vivekananda Youth Convention organised by Bharatiya Yuva Morcha Cuncolim Block, Sawant called upon the youth to answer competitive examinations such as IAS, IPS, IFS and other Grade One post exams at the national level.
He advised them not to limit themselves to graduation or post graduation only but prepare for UPSC exams.
“Government is planning to provide necessary training to those who wish to answer competitive exams. Many of you need to choose the right career. Due to lack of career guidance many of you lose job opportunities. Our motto is to make youth self-reliant. We are ready to lend all necessary help to those youth who are willing to start own business,” Sawant said.
He assured that the government will fill up 10,000 vacant posts in various departments.
