TCP will put in place a strong mechanism to verify property documents: Rane

After the Old Goa illegal construction, another construction has come up at the old Portuguese gun powder factory near Panelim. Both properties have been sold to outsiders, Velim MLA Cruz Silva pointed out.  TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane said the Panelim issue is also in court, but TCP has not given any permission to the owner.

Rane further assured to put in place “a strong mechanism” to verify property documents in the wake of the alleged forgery of documents in connection with the Old Goa illegal structure case. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant also assured that the Archaeology department would demarcate the 100-metre buffer zone around all heritage sites, after issuing a notification.
