PONDA: Taking note of government guidelines in view of Covid-19, many temples in Ponda taluka have appealed to the devotees and tourists, visiting the temples, to wear masks and maintain individual cleanliness to prevent the spread of the virus.
The Kamaxi Temple Committee at Shiroda has also appealed to the devotees not to crowd the temple from March 23 to 25, for the Amvasya festival.

Large number of devotees from distant places like Maharashtra and Karnataka travel to the Kamaxi Temple to attend the monthly Amvasya festival. The temple committee, however, has appealed to the devotees not to gather at the temple in large numbers to prevent spread of coronavirus.
