Tensions flare as AAP, Congress spar in Goa Speaker election

AAP MLAs Venzy Viegas and Cruz Silva accused the Congress of “backstabbing” after remarks by national leader Devendra Yadav. While reaffirming ideological differences, the duo said their vote for Congress MLA Altone D’Costa in the Goa Speaker’s election was cast “under protest” in line with a prior commitment.
