18th June road is what holds the capital city together. Lined by shops, even on a holiday it is a traffic nightmare. But now with the authorities digging stretches it has totally thrown the entire traffic management out of sync.
The road is notorious for its double parking causing major traffic jams. However, with the digging, there is now no place to park.
This stretch is where the CCP has been struggling to put in place a pay parking plan with even suggestions of it even being pedestrian only during certain periods of the day.
At peak hours at present it is impossible to travel in the area as there are some roads that have been blocked off and others that are narrow and have turned narrower due to the digging.
