A tourist who was feared drowned after being swept away by powerful waves at Baga Beach has been found dead. The victim, identified as 34-year-old Ashpak Masali from Bijapur, was reportedly sitting on rocks along the Baga coastline when strong waves dragged him into the sea.
Following the incident, Fire and Emergency Services personnel launched an extensive search operation. However, rescue efforts were hampered by rough sea conditions, high tide and poor weather, forcing authorities to temporarily suspend the search.

Masali’s body was later recovered from the shoreline. A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media, reportedly showing him sitting in a risky location moments before being swept away.
