Gudi-Paroda Residents Fill Potholes Themselves as Authorities Turn a Blind Eye

Residents of Gudi-Paroda in Quepem have alleged that underground cabling work has left several stretches of road damaged and unsafe for commuters.

According to villagers, the contractor has failed to restore the excavated sections and has left mounds of soil at the site, resulting in deep potholes along the roadway.

Concerned about the risk of accidents, residents said they have repeatedly filled the potholes themselves to ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians.

Despite raising the issue with the authorities, they claim no action has been taken so far. Villagers have now urged officials to direct the contractor to immediately repair and restore the affected road.
