PANJIM: Three tourists were rescued by lifeguards while a 26-year-old tourist from Bangalore was administered medical treatment in three separate incidents at Agonda, Calangute and Anjuna beaches.
According to reports, five tourists were swimming in a non-swim area at Agonda Beach. The lifeguards requested them to shift to a safe location, which they agreed to. However, Rivu Sarkar (29) from Bangalore got caught in the rip current. Lifeguards rushed to the aid of victim and brought him ashore.

At Calangute Beach, four tourists were swimming in non-swim zone despite requests from the lifeguards to stay closer to the shore. After a while, Kiran K (21) and Alok Bhat (21) from Hubli tried to venture into deeper water and got pulled. Lifeguards secured the victims and brought them to shore safely.
At Anjuna Beach, Shilpa Raut (26) from Bangalore was found with over dose of alcohol along with her friends. As she was having difficulty in breathing and was showing signs of unconsciousness, her friends rushed her towards lifeguard for assistance. Later, the victim was handed over to 108 ambulance staff for further treatment.
