PANJIM: The special trains to Goa continue to bring the COVID-infected persons as the State registered 11 more cases on Sunday even as three persons were cured.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane broke the news of the new cases on social media this morning.

“11 passengers who arrived from Mumbai yesterday via Rajdhani Express have reported positive on TrueNAT device. This brings the total number of active cases in Goa to 50,” he said.
As per the Health bulletin, on Sunday, 554 samples were sent for testing and 591 were received – including pending reports of Saturday.
Out of 591 samples, 580 were negative and 11 positive.
This takes the tally of total cases to 66. State has 47 active cases and 19 recoveries.
A total of 705 persons have been put under quarantine as on Sunday, in various residencies and hotels. Three persons are in isolation wards
Meanwhile, the Rajdhani Express scheduled to arrive in Goa on Sunday was cancelled.
Konkan Railway PRO, Baban Ghatge told Herald that the Northern Railway has informed them of the cancellation.
It is still not known whether the train has been cancelled for a few weeks as per the request of Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant.
“We are informed that only today’s train in cancelled,” the PRO stated.
Last week the CM had mentioned that the Rajdhani will not ply to Goa on weekends. However, to Goa’s dismay the train did arrive on Saturday with over 250 passengers.
