Tuem locals warn of protest outside Pernem PWD office if water problem not solved

PERNEM: People of Bhomwada in Tuem on Tuesday warned the Executive Engineer of Pernem PWD office that they will protest outside the office if their water problem is not solved within eight days.
Locals informed that since last five days they were facing water scarcity where no water was supplied to them through taps nor tanker and because of which they were facing problem in carrying out their daily household course.  
They informed that from last two months they are facing problem of water shortage however from last five days the water supply in the village was completely stopped. 
On Monday, a group of women met the operator who handles the supply of water in the village and after meeting the operator, people received water after five days however people have now warned the EE to protest outside the PWD office after eight days if the water supply is stopped.
A local Uttam Naik said,” Yesterday few ladies from our ward went and met the operator and after talking to him, water was released. Today we called the AE of Pernem PWD office and the AE has now assured to release water every alternate night for four hours. However, if the problem continues and if we do not get water supply on every alternate day than we will protest outside the PWD office Pernem.”
