PANJIM: Panjim Police on Sunday arrested two Nepalis for attempting to steal the car from a residential apartment at Tonca.
Panjim Police informed that following the complaint from the owner of the car Rohan Timble, a resident of the St Marry Colony Miramar, they arrested the two accused for attempting steal the vehicle.
Timble had complained that on Saturday night at around 11.25pm an unknown person tried to open his car door and attempted to steal it.
Acting on the complaint, police identified the accused as Homraj Topbahadur KC (38), a resident of Aldona and Mohan Shurbir Oli (40) from Caranzalem. Both the accused are natives of Nepal and working in Goa as drivers.
The accused have been arrested under Section 379 and 511 of IPC. Presently they are remanded in judicial custody for six days. PSI R V Bagkar is investigating the case.
