A collision between an Alto and WagonR near the Zuari bridge on the Curchorem-Sanvordem highway left one person seriously injured and hospitalised on Saturday, reigniting fury over this notorious accident blackspot. Locals decry traffic authorities’ negligence, blaming potholed surfaces, absent warning signs, and poor oversight for frequent mishaps extending to the Kamo village connector.
Residents have urged the concerned authorities to take immediate action to improve safety on this main highway, as well as on the connecting village road at Kamo. They emphasized that repeated accidents at the same location highlight the urgent need for preventive measures such as proper signage, road repairs, speed control, and better traffic management.
