MARGAO: Two policemen, who were earlier caught allegedly in possession of alcoholic drinks in their PCR Van, have been suspended by the police on Saturday.
It may be recalled that locals from Gogol area had caught three policemen allegedly drunk on duty in a PCR Van which was stationed at Gogol. Now, Suraj Badkar, driver, and Hitesh Badwadkar, Police Constable, have been suspended for possessing alcohol while on duty.
The locals had urged the Government to take strict action against the erring police. It has been informed that the report of the police has been sent to the higher-ups. It is also known that there was no alcohol traced in the blood of the erring police on Friday.
