MARGAO: The second edition of the two-day Auto Expo 2014 got underway at the SGPDA parking ground, Margao, on Saturday.
The expo was inaugurated at the hands of Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai in the presence of General Manager Herald group, Michael Pereira, and other dignitaries.
Day one of the expo evoked tremendous response from car and two-wheeler enthusiasts alike as they thronged the venue to have a look at the latest offerings on display and sale. A number of automobile manufacturing companies and dealers are participating in the two-day expo.
Speaking on the occasion, the Fatorda MLA complimented Herald group for organising the expo saying it will help people decide on buying a car since the event is being organised post-budget session.
“The novel auto expo would help Goemkars make the right choice and avail Central government’s reduction in auto prices in the country post the budget declaration”, he said, while praising Herald’s contribution in giving direction to Goa’s aspirations in the past.
The two-day auto show will be open to the public from 1 pm to 9 pm on Sunday February 23.
Vehicles of various brands are on display at the auto show with Volkswagon displayed by Mohite Automobile Pvt Ltd, BMW by Varava Motors, Mercedes-Benz by Counto Motors, Renault by Quadros Automart, Honda by Coastal Honda, Maruti by Sai Service, Toyota by Sharayu Toyota, Mahindra by Muktar Automobiles, Hyundai by Counto Automobile Pvt Ltd and Force by Kamat Force.
Two-wheelers on display are by Kar Motors, Quadros Suzuki and Kunde Suzuki, Manguirish TVS, Shree Samarth, Quadros Motoriders, Goa Rajee Auto Pvt Ltd and Quadros Motocorp. Accessories and allied participants include Auto Paradise and Bosch products by Kakode Trading. Bank of India has also made its presenceat the show offering various auto finance options to customers.
