VASCO: A huge branch of an old tree came down on the road due to gusty wind at Chaferan Vaddem area in Vasco on Friday. Two parked cars were damaged and two women were injured in the incident.
The injured women are identified as Susheela Chitlapally (33) and Kavita Jalaneela (27). One of the women suffered major injuries and was referred to Goa Medical College Hospital, the other was taken to Chicalim Cottage hospital and was subsequently discharged, a local Chandru said.

He also said that since the branch fell on electric wires, an electric pole was damaged and that the residents in the vicinity have requested the electricity department to replace the pole immediately.
