Undertrial goes berserk

Under trial Ramesh Dhalwari damaged a TV set and computer at the Margao Judicial lock-up while being taken inside the cell on Friday afternoon.
Sources in the know said the undertrial was being taken inside the lock-up when he picked up a quarrel with the jail guard and refused to enter the cell. It is learnt that he created a ruckus once he entered the lock-up and wanted the jailor to lodge him either at Panjim or some other jail and pleaded that he be taken out of the Margao lock up.
During the incident, Ramesh is believed to have charged towards the jail guard and later kicked the TV set and a computer.
The Jailor later lodged a complaint with the Margao police. The case is being investigated by PSI Manguesh.
