Union minister Amit Shah to arrive in Goa on September 10

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Goa on September 10, where he will lay the foundation stone for multiple projects in the coastal state, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced on Thursday.

Sawant, who returned to Goa on Wednesday evening after meeting Shah and BJP president J. P. Nadda in New Delhi, said he had extended the invitation for Shah’s visit.

Among the projects to be launched during the Union minister’s visit is the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum at Farmagudi in South Goa district, the chief minister confirmed.

Sawant further informed that during his meeting with Nadda, discussions were held on increasing the number of MBBS seats at Goa Medical College. Nadda, who also serves as Union Health and Family Welfare Minister, assured that the seat count would be raised at the earliest.
