PANJIM: The Old Goa police on Wednesday arrested one Rahool Madan Sahani for allegedly kidnapping a girl from Uttar Pradesh. The girl, a native of Uttar Pradesh was rescued from St Estevam, Cumbharjua.

The Old Goa Police station received the information from Maniyar Police Station UP of the accused and the kidnapped girl being in Goa. The police apprehended the accused, who is also a native of Naokatola, Dadepur, Maniyar, UP.
A case was registered against Rahool at Maniyar Police Station (UP) under Section 363 and 120-B of IPC for kidnapping. Accused was taken into custody from Paulwada, St Estevam and further the girl was rescued from Khadpawada, Cumbharjua, Tiswadi.
Accused Rahool along with the victim girl were handed over to the staff of Maniyar Police Station, Uttar Pradesh.
