UP native held for killing fellow worker at Arpora

MAPUSA: Anjuna Police on Sunday arrested an Uttar Pradesh native for allegedly murdering his fellow worker in a hotel at Arpora.

According to the Police, the incident occurred on Saturday between 11 pm and 1 am.

Sources informed that hotel staff members were sitting in the staff cafeteria when two employees –- 28-year-old Vishwanath Sadashiv Gawas and Rambharose Nishad got into a quarrel over a petty issue. 

In a fit of rage, Rambharose stabbed Vishwanath with a knife causing serious injuries, which resulted in his death.

The victim was a native of Pikuli, while accused is from Banda. 

Anjuna Police have booked the accused under Section 302 IPC and are further investigating the case.

Meanwhile, the hotel General Manager said, “Both the victim and accused are our staff members. While they were sitting together last night, they had argument over a petty issue and one of them stabbed the other guy. Police are investigating the case. We are fully cooperating with the authorities.”
