The protest is aimed at highlighting the long-pending demand for political representation for Goa’s tribal communities. UTAA has maintained that adequate political reservation is essential to ensure representation of the ST population in the state’s legislative process.

With the venue shifted to Mardol, the organisation is expected to press ahead with its mobilisation and reiterate its demand for the reservation to be implemented ahead of the 2027 Goa Assembly polls.
