PANJIM: A day after unknown miscreant/s decamped with valuables from a 150-year-old Portuguese house at Ribandar, the police have sought details of the stolen items from the complainants.
Gautam Panvelkar and his mother had complained to the police that on visiting their house, they found several items comprising of silver and valuable utensils were burgled and other belongings were strewn around.
The police have registered an offense and begun an investigation. Old Goa police inspector Sudesh Velip said they have sought for details of the stolen items. “We have sought for a list of items stolen from the house. It is a part of our investigation. We will also begin with questioning people,” he said.
The police suspect that since the door was intact, person familiar with the vicinity has committed the offense.
