MARGAO: Vicentinha Fernandes was today unanimously elected the deputy sarpanch of village panchayat of Varca. Besides having served the village as Sarpanch earlier from 2007 to 2012 her husband Roland Fernandes recently resigned as sarpanch of the village. Following Roland’s resignation as sarpanch Shalini Pereira who was the deputy sarpanch was elected as Sarpanch and now Vicentinha has been elected as the deputy sarpanch.
