Velim MLA Benjamin Silva will be the chief guest for the function while member secretary of the biodiversity board, Dr Nitin Sawant will be the guest of honour of taking charge which will be held in the panchayat hall.
Asserting that there was a need to preserve the biodiversity of Velim, Sarpanch Melwyn Sanchez said the committee would preserve to the village which is naturally blessed with hills, water bodies, river, khazan land among other such natural resources.
