Vijai Sardesai, MLA of Fatorda, on Saturday said that the proposed project at Dovunden will not be allowed to proceed if it goes against the wishes of the local residents.
Sardesai visited the project site at Dovunden along with ward councillors and local residents to assess the situation on the ground. The inspection was carried out amid concerns raised by residents regarding the proposed development.

Speaking to the media after the visit, Vijai Sardesai said that the project had reportedly received approvals from bodies run by the Bharatiya Janata Party, but assured locals that their concerns would be taken into consideration.
He further stated that he would stand with the people of the area and ensure that no project is implemented if it is opposed by the local community.
