Vishwajeet: Steps taken to control Chikungunya

All necessary measures have been taken to control the spread of Chikungunya and Health Director is monitoring the situation, told Health Minister Vishwajeet Rane during Zero Hour on Wednesday.
Sanguem MLA Vasudev Gaonkar told the House more than hundred people in the villages of Sanguem taluka have been affected and efforts should be made to ensure that disease does not spread to other parts.
The Health Minister pointed out that all required steps have been already taken and a medical team has been sent to the affected area. Over 100 blood samples have been collected and the spread has been more in the mining belt of the taluka, he said.
The survey is being conducted , he said adding if needed, more steps would be taken.
