PANJIM: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane went all out against the Congress party accusing the latter of trying to divert the people’s attention from the main issues. He said that his future lies under the leadership of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.
Rane welcomed and thanked the High Court for rejecting the disqualification petition against him filed by the Congress. He said, “Once again I repose faith in the judiciary as far as the case against me filed by the Congress party. I’ve total faith in the Legislature. I always believe in judiciary irrespective of whatever tricks the Congress party tries.”
He said that the Congress is a bankrupt party and to hide its corrupt activities and divert the attention of the people from the real issues are carrying out these tactics.
“Congress leaders are being investigated by different agencies and also for illegalities during their tenure in power. Some in illegal mining and some in matka. This is the caliber of the Congress. Most of the Congress leaders are under a cloud as a result they are feeling insecure,” Rane added.
The Valpoi MLA said that in the run up to the 2019 Parliament elections, he would consolidate the BJP in Valpoi and neighbouring constituencies. “There is no question of me going back. My career and future lies with Manohar Parrikar and I will do everything possible to strengthen BJP in my area and the neighbouring constituencies,” he stated.
