PANJIM: PWD Minister Ramkrishna (Sudin) Dhavalikar said that the 50-year-old AC water pipeline in the State will be replaced with a new pipeline that has double the diameter.
Speaking to reporters after holding a review meeting of the PWD with Ministers, MLAs and officers, Dhavalikar said water shortage and related issues will end once the pipeline is replaced. “We will estimate the entire project to change the pipeline which is over 50 years old. Also, a provision will be made in consultation with the Chief Minister,” he said.
He added that except for two constituencies works of Rs 10 crore have already been completed while in each constituency now works of Rs 15 crore will be taken up.
