PANJIM: Nearly a month after two vehicles belonging to the Directorate of Women and Child Development were stolen from the State city, a complaint has been lodged with Panjim police.
The two Swift Dzire cars were parked in front of the department’s office, located in the old Education Department building. Panjim police said the vehicles were reportedly missing for over a month but a complaint was filed only two days ago. Five persons, including the vehicle drivers, have been quizzed so far.
“The handing over charge of the vehicle and other related matters are being probed. We are told by the car drivers that their log books remained inside the cars. Everyone concerned will be questioned,” PI Siddhant Shirodkar told Herald.
While the police have rounded up some suspects it is also learnt that Swift Dzire cars are allegedly the most targeted cars by miscreants.
