MARGAO: In a new twist to the SGPDA collection of fees row, SGPDA Chairman Rajan Naik has said the PDA would reconsider the decision to float two tenders for the wholesale fish market.
The SGPDA Chairman told Herald that he would ask the PDA Member Secretary Rajesh Naik not to float two tenders vis-a-vis the fee collection. “The SGPDA had taken a decision to float two tenders since there was no opposition at that time. But, since the boat owners and the traditional fishermen have opposed the decision, we will reconsider the same. We will not go against the wishes of the other stakeholders in the fishing industry,” he said.
