BELGAUM: A freak mishap at the famous Amboli waterfall claimed a life of a 32-year-old woman from Karad-Maharashtra, who was coming to Goa for the weekend on Wednesday. The incident took place when Kranti Dodke and family members were on her way to Goa for a weekend. According to the police, the Dodke and Gaikwad families from Shamgao, Karad, were travelling to Goa in a hired vehicle and as they reached Amboli late Wednesday evening, the group decided to enjoy the waterfall. A stone came crashing down from the cliff and hit Kranti on her forehead knocking her unconscious. She died while she was being rushed to a hospital in Sawantwadi. The body was handed over late Wednesday night after post mortem.
