CURCHOREM: Mehroon Nisa Shaikh (34) from Ghaddiwada-Kakoda committed suicide by jumping into Zuari River from the bridge connecting Curchorem and Sanvordem on Wednesday at around 5 pm.
According to Investigating Officer PSI Girendra Naik, the police received a call from control room informing about the incident and then they immediately called the Curchorem fire-brigade to the site and succeeded in retrieving the body. “Body is preserved at T B Hospital, Margao for post-mortem,” Naik said.
