MAPUSA: Yet another incident of chain snatching was reported in Bardez taluka wherein a woman was robbed of her mangalsutra worth Rs one lakh by two bike-borne persons on pretext of asking for an address.

This is the fourth such incident reported in Bardez jurisdiction in last two months. According to Mapusa Police, the complainant Harshada Parab was walking on the road and on reaching Duler, two persons came on a motorbike and on the pretext of asking for an address showed a piece of paper and snatched her gold mangalsutra worth Rs one lakh.
The incident occurred at 6.30 pm. Police informed that the rider was wearing helmet, while the pillion rider had his face covered with a mask.
