PANJIM: Work on the new Corporation of the City of Panjim (CCP) building will commence in the next three months and is expected to be completed in the next two years.
Panjim Mayor Surendra Furtado told Herald that, “The first phase of the building will cost approximately around Rs 6.5 crore and will be built behind the existing CCP building.
It will have six floors, including basement parking. We have already got all major licenses approved like fire and PDA and I guess in the next two months the foundation stone will be laid.”
“The building will be funded by the Goa State Urban Development Agency and currently we are waiting for the tender to be floated as soil testing is already completed,” he added.
He said the building next to CCP which was previously occupied by BSNL is now in possession of CCP and will be demolished for construction of a second phase.
